Anutosh serves leading financial services organizations on strategy and operations topics, including digital transformation and building new businesses. He advises financial institutions, startups, and investors on digital and analytics, wealth and asset management, and corporate and investment banking. He also helps governments and financial services authorities shape national strategies and infrastructure to support the sector’s development.

Prior to McKinsey, Anutosh was a member of the executive committee of a major global bank. He served as the head of strategy, chief administrative officer, and business manager across the corporate, investment, private, and retail banking businesses in Asia Pacific.

Examples of Anutosh’s recent client work include the following:

  • designing and executing a significant restructuring of a leading bank in Asia, delivering $300 million of cost saving in 18 months
  • supporting the greenfield build of a digital assets custodian, which was conceptualized, launched, and scaled to $3 billion assets under custody within 18 months
  • designing a comprehensive and ambitious three-year digital transformation program for a leading global wealth manager
  • supporting a global wealth manager—in partnership with fintechs—to implement analytics use cases and build machine-learning enabled decision-making tools and data-driven client development
  • helping to design and operationalize a strategy for multiple international banks to enter the onshore wealth-management market in China
  • supporting a country in Asia to develop a world-class post-trade market infrastructure for public and private assets
  • helping a country in Asia address gaps in cross-border financing through the design of an independent commercially operated company
  • designing an Asia securities strategy for a leading Asian financial services group
  • assisting a global bank to design a legislative framework for an equities business in Asia, based on understanding the needs of its buy-side customers.
